The Institutional Research office at Saint Mary's College of California is dedicated to fostering a culture of data-driven excellence and informed, equity minded, decision-making. INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH OFFICE FUNCTIONS

The Office of Institutional Research oversees a wide array of data management responsibilities crucial to the institution's success. We strive to be a valuable asset to the campus community, providing support and insights to enhance strategic initiatives and operational effectiveness. Our responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing various external data reports, such as those required by the federal government, our accrediting body (WASC/WSCUC), and proprietary channels including US News & World Report and Princeton Review.
Providing comprehensive institutional data to campus stakeholders to support their strategic initiatives and operational needs.
Coordinating institutional survey activities, including annual student satisfaction and engagement surveys.
Maintaining essential data reference sources such as the Fact Book and the Common Data Set.
Conducting data analyses to inform the college’s strategic planning and operations, such as evaluating student success through diverse outcome measures.
